Grumpy

We just had a charity auction at work to get rid of some unwanted items from the office prior to our move.

There was a rather nice TV in the list of items for sale and I had been bidding steadily on them all day...

Right at the end there was a little bit of a bidding war and although I got in with a bid on the death knell at the same amount as someone else, because his came in after mine and thus appears at the top of the list the other guy has been decided to be the winner.

I went down to see the woman who ran auction and she failed to see why I thought this was unfair in any way and was totally unappologetic....

I guess I am making too much of this but it annoys me when people make stupid decision based on illogical premises and then refuse point blank to try and see someone elses point of view.

Rather took the edge of the fun we had with the last minute bidding war.

Oh well at least I can say I am right even if I don't get the nice shiny big TV out of it.
