So that was very frustrating.... Jenny needs a new laptop so we went to PC world in the hope we could come back with a shiny new one. Well after they finally deigned to talk to us we asked a question about where a laptop we where looking at existed with a faster processor. To be told perhaps online.... "err could you look?" so a bit sullenly he went off and found out that there did exist one but only with a fancy graphics card that was a lot more money than we wanted to spend. He then walked off!
So after making a decision and choosing a laptop to buy we get someone to help us and he was the slowest most unhelpful person imaginable. After rather snottily asking would would fix the laptop if went wrong when we decline the PCWorld care package he then went off to get the laptop and recovery disks. He came back with the laptop but said "We don't have the disks, you'll have to leave the laptop with us and come back tomorrow." That was an exact quote note the lack of apology.
Given that Jenny and I had already been discussing just walking out given the way they where behaving... we decline their offer of the laptop and asked to speak to the manager. Didn't really achieve much of course but I really needed to something.
So I suspect I will be visiting the independent computer shop in Chippenham to see what they can do (not that they have been particularly useful in the past) to source a laptop for Jenny.
If they keep up like they where then PCWorld isn't much longer for the world.
